📱 How to Install an eSIM on Your Android Device 🌟
Want to activate an eSIM on your Android device? 🚀 Follow this easy step-by-step guide! (Tested on a Samsung Galaxy S21 running Android 13).
What You’ll Need to Get Started 🛠️
- A strong internet connection: Preferably WiFi or a stable 4G connection.
- An eSIM-compatible device: Check compatible devices here.
- A device that is not carrier-locked: Learn how to check here.
Important: Don’t forget to turn on Data Roaming after installation!
Two Ways to Install 🚦
Choose the method that works for you:
- Install using a QR code 📸
Option 1: Installing Using a QR Code 📸
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Pick one of these two methods:
- Method 1: Open your camera app → Scan the QR code → Tap "Add plan to phone".
- Method 2: Go to Settings → Tap Connections → Tap SIM Manager → Tap Add eSIM → Tap "Scan QR code from service provider" → Scan the QR code.
Step 2: Activate the eSIM
When prompted, tap Add → Wait up to 10 minutes for activation → Tap Done.
Step 3: Configure Your SIM Settings
Set up your eSIM as follows:
- Calls and Messages: Leave these set to your original primary SIM.
- Mobile Data: Tap Mobile Data → Select your eSIM → Tap Change.
Step 4: Turn on Data Roaming
Go to Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Ensure Data Roaming is switched on.
